COSTA BLANCA

The Costa Blanca also known as the White Coast, extends along the section of the Mediterranean coast which corresponds to the province of Alicante. It is made up of two clearly differentiated scenic sectors.

To the North, a curtain of mountains runs parallel to the sea, descending at times to form cliffs; to the South, a vast plain of sand patches, palm trees and salt deposits make up the backdrop for the beaches.

There are over 100kms of Beaches and coves on the Costa Blanca. There are many shops and there is the biggest market in the region every Friday in Torrevieja.

ALICANTE AIRPORT

Located 11kms(7 miles) South of Alicante, the airport features full facilities including facilities for those people with disabilities.

Taxis are available at the airport (journey time to Alicante: 15-20 minutes) and scheduled buses run every 30 minutes to and from Alicante central bus station.

Car Parking is available at the airport opposite the terminal building; long-term and short-term parking are located in one car park, although charges vary depending on the length of the stay.

Conference and business facilities are not generally available at the airport but the Holiday Inn Alicante-Playa de San Juan (tel: (0)96 515 6185), which is 5km (3 miles) from Alicante, can provide conference and business facilities.
